To support the growing Italian-Australian community in the south, we’re collecting Expressions of Interest to launch a new Italian course for native speaker children aged 4 to 7 (Kindy to Year 2) in Fremantle or nearby suburbs.
About Us
Founded with a passion for preserving the Italian language and culture, Dante Alighieri Community School has been a trusted name in Italian education for children and teens for many years.
Our school is based in Tuart Hill and since 2021, we’ve proudly offered courses for both native speakers and second-language learners.
Kindy – Year 2 Italian Course (Background Language)
Designed for children who speak Italian at home, this course helps deepen language skills through a variety of engaging, age-appropriate activities:
- Reading and storytelling
- Writing and comprehension
- Interactive language games
- Italian cultural immersion
Your child will not only strengthen their Italian language abilities but also build a deeper connection with their Italian heritage in a joyful, bilingual setting.
Course Details
When: Saturdays, 10:45am – 12:15pm
Dates: 26 July – 8 December (includes a two-week break from 21 Sept – 4 Oct)
Location: Community centre in the Fremantle area (exact venue TBA)
Ages: 4 to 7 years old (Kindy to Year 2)
Language Level: Background/native speakers
